NEW DELHI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- With the much anticipated Commonwealth Games a few weeks away the DMRC is making sure that the security in the metro routes get beefed up to prevent any untoward incident in future. It has been reported by the top intelligence groups that Delhi Metro is in high in the list of the militant groups active in and around India. The flagship airport line of the DMRC is going to get enhanced security. The City Airport Terminals are going to be fortified with equipments like explosive detectors, under vehicle scanners, big x-ray baggage scanners and sniffer dog squads to make sure no malicious people can create any trouble.

Right from the time a person enters any of the metro stations along the new route of DMRC he will be scanned in several ways to ensure he is not carrying any prohibited stuff with him. Apart from the metal detectors and bomb scanners the security at the metro stations will be beefed up by the presence of dog squads. The highly trained and capable sniffer dogs will patrol the station premises and adjacent retail areas to prevent any mishap during the upcoming Commonwealth Games. Bomb disposal squads will also be kept ready so that they can reach any place quickly if the need arises.

The airport line of DMRC has been set up by the Reliance Infrastructure Limited and the security in this key route will be managed by an entity named the Delhi Airport Metro Express. The stations along the route will be fitted with CCTV cameras. The government also wants the security to be elevated.
