DELHI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- With less than two months to go for the much awaited Commonwealth games, the DMRC or Delhi Metro Rail Corporation gearing up to meet the increased commuter load that is expected during the games. It has started revamping its services to evade any glitch in service during that phase. It is natural that the majority of people will use the metro during the Commonwealth Games apart from the residents of the Capital. The Metro will provide connectivity to as many as 10 CWG games venues in the capital as it has been reported.

DMRC wants to ensure that the people who would be coming to Delhi during the upcoming Commonwealth games get the best service from the Metro railways. That explains why it is giving training to its staffs at the training school at Shastri Park. The training will make the staffs more aware with the technical things. The training is comprised of train running session with real life simulation. The fact that DMRC will start services in three new routes just before the games has made it so cautious. The three routes are Central Secretariat-Badarpur, Central Secretariat-Gurgaon and Airport Express line.

The metro stations that are linked to CWG venues will require more DMRC personnel. Apart from providing training to its staffs DMRC is also going to step up security at key stations during the upcoming games. The six coach rakes will be pressed into service in all its routes gradually to cope with the increasing commuter load. The opening of the route connecting Gurgaon has resulted in more traffic during peak hours.
