Regal Entertainment to offer $275M of senior notes

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Regal Entertainment Group, the nation’s largest movie theater chain, said Tuesday it plans to offer $275 million of its senior notes due 2018.

The company expects the offering to close early next week. It plans to use proceeds to redeem its outstanding 9.375 percent senior subordinated notes due 2012, to repurchase or repay its outstanding 6.25 percent convertible senior notes due 2011 and for general corporate purposes.
