Search under way for 2nd boy missing in Arizona

PRESCOTT, Ariz. — A search is under way for a 2-year-old boy in northern Arizona after his mother reported him missing Monday night.

The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office says the search east of Prescott for Emmitt Trapp, of Dewey-Humboldt, expanded overnight and included air searches by the Department of Public Safety.

The search effort continued Tuesday afternoon with additional teams in the area.

Authorities say there is no evidence of foul play, and the sheriff’s office says there is no known association between this incident and the case of missing 2-year-old Sylar Newton.

Sylar was last seen the night of July 24 at the Beaver Creek Campground near Rimrock, where he was camping with his custodial mother and her family.
