JHARSUGUDA - At least five persons were reportedly dead and over six others injured in the fire that engulfed a private steel plant in Orissa’s Jharsuguda District on Tuesday.

Five bodies have been recovered from the factory, named MSP Metallics Ltd, and three critically injured workers have been admitted to the nearby hospital.

“Ten people were there in the factory when the fire broke out, but only four of them have been rescued,” said Prakash, a worker.

The police are investigating the cause of the fire.

The devastating inferno was so severe that the fire brigade personnel managed to enter into the area only with considerable difficulty. (ANI)
