NARAYANPUR - Maoists have blocked roads in the Narayanpur region of Chhattisgarh during their three-day shutdown, which began on Monday.

Armed rebels cut down trees and placed them across roads to block vehicular traffic and snap surface communication links.

Commuters faced immense problems due to the road blockade on the Kondagaoun-Orjha route in Narayanpur

N L Meshram, a schoolteacher, said, “People are facing lot of problems in commuting as trees are felled and placed across roads to block traffic. Rocks and boulders are also put on the roads for blockade causing problems to common people.”

Maoists have pasted notices at vantage points and warned people to observe the shutdown. (ANI)
