Cabbie charged with coworker’s death at PR airport

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico — A taxi driver at Puerto Rico’s main airport has been charged with killing a fellow driver who allegedly cut in line ahead of him.

Police Lt. Sara Cruz says the victim often taunted Crispin Castillo with racial slurs and pushed him out of the cab line at Luis Munoz Marin International Airport.

She says Castillo shot Angel Melendez on Thursday after Melendez cut into the line ahead of him.

Castillo was charged Saturday with the killing and is being held on a $1 million bond.
